Class Descriptions

We offer a variety of classes that encompass the physical, mental  and spiritual aspects of yoga practice.

Core Strengthening For Yoga

Suitable for all levels. The focus is on developing core strength to enhance our yoga practice and to build strength needed for arm balancing and inversions.

Pam Batchelor assists student with seated forward bend pose. Pose benefits include stretching of the hamstrings, lengthening the spine, massaging the abdominal organs, calming the central nervous system and quieting the mind.

Gentle Yoga

In this class we move mindfully and slowly as we calm the mind, connect to the breath and naturally massage the body through yoga movement. This class is for all levels.

Hatha For All Levels

During this class we focus on static poses as we align and calm the mind, body and spirit. This class is great for beginners as well as experienced yogis who wish to slow it down a bit.

Chakra plank in studio symbolizes the energy centers in the body. To function at your best, your chakras need to stay open and balanced.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a restful practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching, doing just a few postures over the course of the class. This is a practice of deep relaxation with the aid of blankets, bolster, blocks and any other props necessary. Everyone will love this class.

Gentle Stretch & Meditation

Gentle Stretch & Meditation exercises both the mind and the body. Everyone should be able to practice yoga. By taking into account any limitations that you may feel in your body, our instructors provide alternative moves and poses so that everyone can practice yoga.. Chair options will be provided for those who have trouble getting up and down from the floor and for those who have knee issues.

Therapy Ball Self Massage

A Therapy ball Self Massage or Myofascial Release (MFR) is a massage technique that uses a ball to apply pressure to muscles and fascia to relieve pain, tightness, and muscle spasms.

Vinyasa

In Vinyasa we build heat in the body as we move through a steady continuous flow of yoga asanas. We  connect the mind and the body to the breath with an emphasis on core strength and stabilization. Inversions and inversion prep work are incorporated. Yoga experience is helpful but the opportunity to move at your own pace is available.

Morgan assists with handstand variation. Inversion poses release tension, increase circulation and energy levels, and strengthen muscles.

Yogastha Sadhana with Morgan

A practice for all yogis that utilizes fully our physical potential and health while maintaining an adherence to the higher teachings of the Yoga Sutras. This class includes a strong steady flow, headstands, handstands and back bending. It is not necessary to have mastered any or all of these. If you have a willingness to try, this class is for you.
